Very relaxing and beautiful

We were very impressed with our accomodation. Right from the start of our stay we were made to feel important. Our accomodation was perfect, very private and with a beautiful view down to the pool. We could of been anywhere, on a tropical island we loved the thatched roof it reminded me of New Zealand. A lovely couple of days

Room for Improvement

Positives -clean site excellent pool area /lazy river which was well supervised by lifeguards. Manhattan accommodation new, clean and functional in a private area. The site is large and hilly but there is a regular electric float that goes around the site regularly. Lady in tourism office on site very helpful a must if your stuck for things to do. Security on off site aloso good. Of course the weather week of 28-30 degrees at the end of Aug. St maxime 35 mins in car worth a visit, Frejus/St Raphael 15 mins plenty of restaurants. Nice beach toward St Aygulf. Aqualand 10 mins away buy will cost 100 euro for a family of 4. You will spend half the day queuing though.

Now for the negatives. Staff on reception quite abrupt not really that helpful. Bar is overpriced we payed 80 euro for a bar snack for family of 4. I’ve eaten better Mc Donalds for a fraction of the price. One member of staff in the bar extremely rude. Sorry if you don’t like working there get another job that doesn’t involve customer service. This site is off a busy road so there is road noise and makes getting out the site in a car tricky. No bbq available despite being end of season.

Personally wouldn’t visit again but that’s not because it was unpleasant I just think there are better sites/locations.

2nd Visit, an all round great site and great area

This is our second visit, last time with our children, who at the time were 14 and 16. Returned this year with our daughter and her friend.
We stayed for 2 weeks, in a 2 bedroom patio “cottage”. The caravan is basic, but has everything you need. We ordered a BBQ, sheets and towels on booking and all were there when we arrived.
We paid a bit extra on a few occasions to go into the Spa pool, which is great as only 16+ age groups are allowed.
You are only allowed to swim with proper swimming shorts, which is highlighted everywhere on booking and on arrival.
Entertainment is good, although we didn’t go there very much as its not our thing. But Belair the entertainment guys is great and very friendly.
The onsite shop is well stocked but a bit pricey as with any onsite shop. Croissants and bread are available all day, but the queues can be very long in the morning.
There is a bus to get you around the site and there is no traffic after 11:55 at night.
There is also a staffed onsite tourist information area with very knowledgeable staff.
The local area is great and beaches clean. I hired a bike from a local bike shop and cycled every morning along the coastal roads. The views were magnificent.
All in all, a great site and helpful staff. The grounds are beautiful too. Great for all ages from baby to OAP

Superb family holiday

Great holiday, family with adults, baby, children and Grandma. Loved our own Jacuzzi. The Vitality pool was excellent for grownups. The kids loved the lazy river and slides- their best ever camping holiday. Beautiful setting. Good privacy. Nice strong shower. We flew to Nice and used taxis for shopping, firm linked to site. I loved our Plancha grill so easy. Overall, a wonderful family holiday.

Eurocamp accomodation & noisy neighbours spoilt our stay

We’ve just had a week at Club Colombier Frejus, 2 adults 2 boys (15 & 10).
The park itself was brilliant if you are happy to put up with some French ignorance and high drink & food prices. We booked thru Eurocamp more than 1 year in advance but got a cramped plot for the caravan. We paid extra for patio and AC but unsure of how another plot could have been smaller than ours! We stayed during a hot period where we preferred to have the AC on at night. Unfortunately we couldn’t keep it on as the external unit was fixed to our bedroom and kicked in every 10mins waking us up.
Further to this, our plot backed onto the adjoining camp site where the neighbours there seemed to party each night! (photo 1 our plot compared to photo 2 eurocamp plot nextdoor)
We had a great meal at the spa restaurant one night and were looked after brilliantly although it cost us €230 for 2 courses and 3 drinks each. We made the decision to go again on our last night as a treat but we got a totally different treatment from the same host. Strange but may have been due to more tables of French customers compared to our previous quieter night! We walked out after 1 drink and main course having not been acknowledged for 30mins! We did pay.
It’s a shame these things let the park down as we loved the pool and surrounding area.

Good family holiday

We stayed in the 3 bedroom plus mezzanine accommodation with a hot tub for a week. It cost a fair bit but as we were travelling with my mum and two children aged 5 and 6, it gave us adequate space for the 5 of us. The hot tub was brilliant, the children spent ages playing in the afternoons and was great for relaxing in the evening. I’m not sure if I would describe it as 5* but I suppose for a campsite it is good. The accommodation was a bit rough around the edges but had some nice touches like the coffee machine and speaker system. The kettle started to leak on day 3 and there was an issue with the hot tub and BBQ not working but this was rectified very quickly by a very friendly man so can’t argue with that. The site itself is nice enough. Good swimming pool area and the adult area is lovely. We got this included in the cost of our accommodation but otherwise you do pay extra. The restaurant near the adult area is one that remains a mystery as we never got served. We were asked to take a seat but the waiter just completely ignored us and served the other 3 tables. Looking at the menu it is very expensive. A beer was 8 euros and a cocktail was 12 but we weee willing to pay this, just a shame that the guy didn’t want to take our money.
The panoramic restaurant was good and again not cheap. A meal for 5 plus drinks was over a 100 euros. We ate there twice but I don’t recommend the ceasar salad as the chicken was really dry. The pizzas are great and any fish or pasta dish was really good.
The shop was excellent with really friendly staff and stocks all that you need.
The entertainment was what you would expect on a European campsite. Very euro pop style (not massively in to that sort of thing) and it is very loud and goes on late in to the night which you can hear from your accommodation.
We tried to use the free kids club for a couple of hours so that the three adults could use the adult only swimming pool however we were told that our children couldn’t stay for a couple of hours and had to be in all day from 10-5. I thought that was ridiculous and didn’t bother.
There are plenty of places to visit in the area Marineland is good and booking through the campsite is cheaper with free entry in to another park.
Navigating the campsite is very tricky and also finding the campsite is a total nightmare but I think most of France is tricky to negotiate due to their lack of signs!
Overall we had a good time, weather was great and accommodation was simple but good for what we needed.
