Fréjus, named Forum Julii during the Roman Empire, was one of the most prosperous cities in Roman times. Discover the history of this ancient city, as you browse among the remains of one of the most important port cities in the Mediterranean.
From these ancient times vestiges of the arenas, the aqueduct and the Roman theatre are still visible. The Malpasset dam, which was breached in the 1950s, was considered the worst catastrophe of the 20th century.
